Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Can I participate in this event to learn how to ride a motorcycle?
No. You must know how to ride and be comfortable riding a motorcycle to participate in this event.
What is included in the price?
Fuel and any other motorcycle needs.
Stop with coffee, snack, and water included during the ride.
Third-party insurance for each motorcycle.
Personal accident insurance for each participant.
Do I need offroad experience to participate?
It's not a mandatory requirement, but for those who are only used to driving on asphalt, the transition to dirt requires special attention, so they need to be part of a group with similar experience and expectations. Get in touch wit us.
What is NOT included in the price?
Mandatory protective equipment. Available for rent, subject to size availability, for €25.
Security deposit: €300, refundable at the end of the event if no incidents occur.
Transportation before and after the event.
How does testing several bikes work?
We will rotate the bikes among the participants so that everyone can try out the different bikes during the event, under similar conditions for everyone.
What kind of route and terrain will we find?
We'll be traveling mostly on dirt roads, with some gravel and sand sections. The route is adjusted to suit the experience of the participants. Part of the route will be on asphalt so that participants can also compare the motorcycles capabilities on the road. We prioritize the landscape in the Arrábida Natural Park and will only travel on public or private paths that are suitable for motorcycles. We won't ride on trails in the natural park that are restricted to motor vehicles.
Can I choose which bikes to test and not all of them?
Yes, but let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
What is the Security Deposit for?
The security deposit will be used to repair damage if the participant damages equipment beyond normal use. The motorcycles are designed for off-road riding, so cosmetic scratches or damage will not be taken into consideration, however, any damage that affects the equipment's functionality is the participant's responsibility, and the security deposit covers it. If the repair costs exceed the security deposit amount, the user/participant is responsible for the excess. If the motorcycle's third-party insurance needs to be activated due to the user/participant's fault, the security deposit amount will also be deducted.
What documents do I need?
Participants must have ID/Passport and a valid driving license to ride the motorcycles A/A2.
Are the motorcycles prepared to ride offroad?
Yes, the motorcycles are prepared to ride offroad, with protections that we consider essential and mixed tires that allow usage on both asphalt and dirt.
Do I need to keep up with guide and other participants? Do I need to ride the full route?
No, each participant is responsible for their own actions, so they should evaluate each situation and make the best decision for themselves. It's not necessary to follow the pace of the participant/guide in front. Participants should not advance in situations they don't feel comfortable with. Inform the guide, and we'll find alternative solutions.
What is the seat height on those bikes? Can I reach the ground?
Off-road motorcycles tend to be taller to provide sufficient ground clearance for overcoming obstacles. The seat heights for these motorcycles are as follows:
CFMoto 450MT -> 820-870mm (depending on the seat)
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 -> 825-845mm (allows for 2 positions)
Honda CRF300L -> 880mm
KTM 390 Enduro R -> 890mm
Voge 300 Rally -> 915mm
If you have concerns about the height of the motorcycles, contact us so we can identify the best solution.
